Hey there! I’m Ben, a visual storyteller from San Francisco who now proudly calls Seattle home. I am a 2022 graduate of the University of Colorado Boulder, with a major in journalism and a minor in media production.
I’m a versatile creative professional with a passion for writing, social media, and multimedia production. With experience in the creative digital media industry, I’ve honed my skills as a digital storyteller and marketer within professional settings for 4+ years.
Currently, I am serving as a video producer, graphic designer, social media manager, and content writer for an architecture and engineering design firm based in the Seattle, WA area. Through my multimedia skills, I engage with the company’s client base across various platforms and marketing campaigns, creating compelling content that drives results.
I’m also a self-published historical and sci-fi author, former digital newspaper staff editor and reporter, freelance documentary filmmaker, and photographer. My diverse background allows me to bring a unique perspective to any project, blending creativity and strategic communication to captivate audiences and ensure growth.
One of my driving forces is my love for education in the fields of the natural sciences and art and culture. I’m committed to helping people understand complex topics with clarity, empathy, and in-depth analysis. By leveraging my skills in writing, editing, and multimedia production, I strive to make a positive impact on policy decisions that shape how we engage with our communities and the environment.
In addition to my writing expertise, I’m skilled in the Adobe Suite for photo, video, and audio editing, as well as publication design and 3D modeling programs. I’ve applied these skills in various digital storytelling projects, including a web-based, early-education timeline and short-form documentaries showcasing arts and culture in my community.
My writing experience extends to critical reviews, peer editing, search engine optimization (SEO), AP Style, industry news, and interview expertise. I’ve had my journalistic work featured in publications such as Boulder Weekly, CU Independent, Longmont Leader, and Denver Life Magazine.
